Why Berthoud Homeowners Choose Northern Lights Exteriors
After a storm, your neighborhood fills with out-of-town crews knocking on doors and pushing fast signatures. Here’s why a local, accountable team is the safer choice.
We’re Local — and We Stay Local
Storm chasers collect the insurance check and vanish. If your roof leaks a year later, they’re three states away. We’ve been here since 2001 and we’ll be here for your warranty, your follow-up, and the next storm.
No Door-Knocking, No Pressure
We will never show up uninvited or push you to sign on the spot. You reach out when you’re ready, on your timeline. We respect your home and your space — especially right after a stressful storm.
Honest Findings — Even If It’s “No Claim”
We document the real damage with photos and give you a straight answer. If your roof doesn’t actually warrant a claim, we’ll tell you that too. No inflated estimates, no manufactured urgency.
We Handle the Insurance Claim
We document the damage correctly, meet your adjuster on-site, and advocate for a fair scope based on real storm damage, code, and manufacturer standards — so nothing legitimate gets missed.
One Team for the Whole Exterior
Hail rarely hits just the roof. We coordinate roofing, siding, windows, gutters, decks, and paint under one team — so you’re not juggling five contractors or five separate claims.
A Reputation You Can Verify
4.9 stars across 552 reviews, plus a public GuildQuality profile. We’re licensed (CO License #C120350), accountable, and proud of the work we leave behind — not a name you’ll never find again. Alongside that license we hold manufacturer certifications from James Hardie (Elite Preferred since 2011), GAF (Master Elite), Pella, TimberTech and Deckorators, and we have been named a Qualified Remodeler Top 500 contractor three years running — all of it listed, with the issuing body for each, on our awards and credentials page.

About the June 26, 2026 Berthoud Hail Storm
On June 26, 2026, a severe hailstorm hit Berthoud (80513) and the surrounding Larimer and Weld County areas with hail up to 1.75 inches — golf-ball size. Hail that size bruises shingles, dents gutters, chips siding, and cracks window frames. Much of the damage isn’t visible from the ground, which is why a prompt, honest inspection matters even if your roof looks fine from the driveway.
