Ownership & Copyright
All photographs, illustrations, before-and-after composites, and project documentation visuals displayed on this website are © Northern Lights Exteriors unless explicitly credited otherwise. Northern Lights Exteriors retains all copyright and intellectual-property rights in these works, including:
- Original project photography of homes we have sided, roofed, or remodeled in Colorado
- Before-and-after comparison images
- Detail and close-up photography of James Hardie® siding, trim, and finish installations we have performed
- Photography of work performed on customer properties with the property owner’s permission to display
Manufacturer product names, color names, and logos referenced in image captions or filenames (e.g., James Hardie®, HardiePlank®, HardieTrim®, ColorPlus®, Statement Collection®) remain the trademarks of their respective owners and are used here solely to describe products installed.
Permitted Uses (No Permission Required)
The following uses of Northern Lights Exteriors photography are permitted without prior written request, provided the image is not altered to misrepresent the work and credit is given where reasonably possible:
- Viewing on this website — for any visitor evaluating siding, roofing, windows, or exterior remodeling services
- Personal reference — homeowners planning their own renovation may save or screenshot images for their personal design inspiration and color planning
- Social-media sharing with attribution — sharing a link to a page on this site, or sharing a single image with visible credit to “Northern Lights Exteriors” and a link back to northernlightsexteriors.com
- Editorial use with attribution — journalists, bloggers, and trade-publication writers may use a single image with credit (“Photo: Northern Lights Exteriors”) and a link back, when the article references Northern Lights Exteriors or a Northern Lights Exteriors project
Prohibited Uses
The following uses are not permitted without prior written license from Northern Lights Exteriors:
- Commercial reuse by other contractors, remodelers, or trades — including use of our project photography to advertise or sell competing services
- Use in paid advertising by any third party
- Resale or licensing of any image, individually or as part of a collection
- Stock-photography submission — submitting Northern Lights Exteriors photography to stock-image marketplaces
- AI, machine-learning, or generative-model training datasets — Northern Lights Exteriors does not consent to use of its photography for training or fine-tuning any AI, machine-learning, computer-vision, or generative-image model
- Removal of watermarks, credits, embedded metadata, or copyright notices
- Modification that misrepresents the work — including altering colors, removing or adding architectural elements, or cropping in a way that misattributes the installation
- Use that implies endorsement or partnership with Northern Lights Exteriors when none exists
How to Request a License
If you would like to use one or more Northern Lights Exteriors images in a way not covered under “Permitted Uses” above, we welcome the request. Most non-competitive editorial and educational requests are granted at no charge.
To request a license, please contact us with the following details:
- The specific image(s) you want to use — the page URL, image filename, or a screenshot
- Where the image will be used — publication, website URL, social-media account, presentation, etc.
- How the image will be used — editorial article, case study, presentation, training material, etc.
- Duration of use and geographic distribution

Reporting Misuse or Copyright Concerns

Governing Law
This image license and usage policy is governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, United States. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Weld County, Colorado.
